I’m an Asian American female in my mid 30s who just had rhinoplasty surgery done about six weeks ago. The surgery was done to make my nose smaller and to also remove a bump on the bridge of my nose. After the hump was taken off my profile looked a lot better, however, from the front view my nose looks worse than it did prior to the surgery. It’s almost as if my nose comes directly out of my forehead and there isn’t any connection there. Is it possible to make my nasion smaller with revision rhinoplasty?
Since your surgery was only six weeks ago it is still too soon to know if you will need to undergo revision rhinoplasty. Swelling after rhinoplasty can last anywhere between a year and a half and two years. I advise you to be patient and to wait at least six months before contemplating revision rhinoplasty. Let your surgeon know your concerns and if you are still not happy you can always send me your photos for me to evaluate as a second opinion.
