I am of Asian ancestry and I had a nose job that left my nose too short. I would like a procedure to correct it. When I was younger, I suffered from a deviated septum and had a nose job to alleviate this. Would the prior nose job adversely affect getting a corrective procedure to fix the damage?
Whenever a corrective nose job (rhinoplasty) is done, there will be scar tissue evident from the previous surgery. The more times a corrective procedure is done, the more scar tissue there will be and the more delicate the surgery.
When a corrective rhinoplasty is done by a specialist in revision rhinoplasty surgery, the ability to revise and alter the projection of the nose is very possible and will provide excellent results.
In order to give you the most accurate advice possible, I would need additional information regarding your previous surgical procedure. I would need to know what procedure you had performed with close-up photographs to review. A consultation may also be required.
If you so desire, you may send any close-up photographs to my Patient Care Coordinator Lisa. Her e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org and our website address is www.rhinoplastyspecialist.com where you will be able to view before and after photographs of previous procedures that I have performed.
Thank you very much for you question.
